Privacy

Version: 1.0, effective from 7 November 2026.

This policy explains how we process personal data on the Course Supporter platform: the pythoncourse.me website, the author app and the student portal.

Who processes your data

Your personal data is processed by ExSol DOO (Montenegro), the company that provides the Course Supporter platform. ExSol DOO decides why and how the data is processed, which makes it the controller. For any question about your data, write to support@pythoncourse.me.

Company details: ExSol DOO, registration number 5-1011266/002, tax number 03411494, registered address: Sjepa Šarenca bb, Herceg Novi, Montenegro.

What data we process

  • Authors’ data: account data, course materials, records of units used.
  • Students’ data: account data, homework and the reviews of it, records of units used.
  • Technical logs: records of how the platform works and of requests made to it. They are needed for security and for fixing failures.
  • Emails you send to support@pythoncourse.me.

Payment data is processed by Paddle. We do not store full payment data, such as a full card number.

Why we process data

  • To provide the services under our agreement with you: running your account, processing course materials, reviewing work and keeping track of units.
  • To protect the platform and prevent abuse and fraud. This is our legitimate interest.
  • To keep records and meet legal requirements.

We do not use your data for advertising and do not sell it.

Automated reviews

Reviews of work are produced by Mentor, a program. A review assesses the work, not the person, and is not a decision about you. If you disagree with a review, you can challenge it by writing to support@pythoncourse.me.

Who receives the data

  • Processing providers whose services we use: hosting and providers of software models that process text, speech and images. We share data with them only to provide the platform’s services.
  • Paddle, for payments, receipts and refunds. For this data, Paddle acts as a controller under its own privacy policy.
  • The author of a course, who can see the work submitted to that course and the reviews of it.
  • Public authorities, only where the law requires it.

We do not list the names of processing providers here; we provide the list on request at support@pythoncourse.me.

Some providers may process data outside Montenegro and the EU.

Retention

We keep data for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as long as the law requires. When you delete a course or a material, its title, description and file name are replaced with a deletion marker, and the file itself is removed from storage by a separate background task. Descriptions that the platform created from a material may remain after the material is deleted. Mentor’s reviews and grades are kept after a student’s work is deleted (see “Materials and work” in the Terms of Use). Records of units used and of package payments are kept for at least as long as accounting law requires. Technical logs and support emails are kept for as long as they are needed for security, fixing failures and answering your requests.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your data and get a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict processing;
  • object to processing;
  • receive your data in a format that is easy to transfer.

To use any of these rights, write to support@pythoncourse.me. We may ask you to confirm that the request comes from you. We reply within a reasonable time and no later than the law requires. You can also complain to a data protection authority. We keep some data even after a deletion request; which data is described in the “Retention” section.

Cookies

The pythoncourse.me website sets no cookies and makes no requests to third-party servers. The applications (the author app and the student portal) do not use cookies and do not contact third-party servers to load fonts or scripts. To keep you signed in, an application stores sign-in data in your browser: an access key or a session key, the identifier of the author space you signed in to, and, for students, your identifier and display name. We use this data only to run the service, not for analytics or advertising. You can remove it by signing out or by clearing the site data in your browser.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We publish each new version on this page with its effective date and tell you about material changes in advance.
